Is the north side of Dunwoody North the only area NOT served?

Not so Happy

I agree with you not so happy, all of Riverglenn Circle, Ledgewood, Dunover Circle, Norwalk and Ellisbury was missed and they are further then the 1.5 mile limit to the new school.

I will send an e-mail to transportation & Mr. Clark.

Wow...how many kids fit on a school bus? Our bus has 135 students listed! Also, the first pick-up is at 6:30 and the bus is scheduled to make 30 stops...and arrive at Dunwoody Elementary at 7:00!

Kelly,

You and I (and the school district's transportation manager) know that of the 135 kids living on that route only 40 or so will actually be on the bus. If every kid living on a bus route actually took up the county's offer for a ride to school they would need to at least double the number of buses.

Late last week I wrote an e-mail to Ms. Susie Stanton asking her to evaluate the following streets in the Dunwoody North Subdivision for service to the new Dunwoody Elementary School. Riverglenn Circle, Ledgewood, Dunover Circle, Norwalk and Ellisbury seem to be missed and they are further then the 1.5 mile limit to the new school.

Today I received a reply adding a bus stop and I would recommend that anyone else who intends to use the bus that you evaluate the access to service and request changes if so needed.

Mr. Heneghan, I added a bus stop at Ellisbury Dr and Riverglenn Cir. Pick up time 6:34 am route #05. If you know of other students that is not on a route, please advise the parents that they need to email Mr. Clark or myself their address so I can go out and look at the location and add a stop.
