Dunwoody Police offering Collision Avoidance Training to teenagers.

Welcome to the Dunwoody Georgia “Collision Avoidance Training program.”  The Dunwoody Police Department was established April 1, 2009 and began providing professional law enforcement services to the 37,500 residence of the City of Dunwoody. We have hired the best and brightest officers available and our officers have received thousands of hours of training and numerous advanced certificates.  Our department is committed to protecting the lives and property of Dunwoody residents as well as ensuring our unique and high quality of life.

Recognizing that automobile crashes are the leading cause of teenage injuries and deaths, reducing these premature deaths in our community will be a priority.  To help ensure we reach our goal we have adopted the Collision Avoidance Training program for teenage drivers and will plan many of our traffic safety initiatives around this program.  This advanced defensive driver training program has been very successful aiding other law enforcement agencies in reducing teenage crashes.  We have been impressed with the program’s success through partnerships with other law enforcement agencies and we are confident it will be as successful in Dunwoody.

This training program truly provides "Driving Skills For Life" and we hope every parent of a teenage driver or soon to be driver will enroll their son or daughter in this life saving program.  For more information you can check out: www.trafficsafetyacademy.com

A resident told me this was an awesome class for his teenage daughter. Please know that that the Dunwoody Police Department still has spaces available for upcoming classes.
