John,

I'm not sure who the reporter was or who the individual was representing DeKalb County in the video about how much was spent on the school system's new offices?

With that said, it should be embarrassing for the official to throw the blame on the state for recommending to DCSS to purchase $2,000 chairs.

Are the folks at DCSS not smart enough to find their own chairs for better prices?

Bottom line, when DCSS officials are spending taxpayer dollars and not their own, it's a heck-of-a lot easier to make ridiculous purchases!

Makes my blood boil!!!!

Bob your not the only one upset, wasteful spending in this economy when the classroom services are being drastically slashed certainly doesn't look fiscally responsible to me.

Check out the DeKalb County School Watch Blog as there are currently over 115 insightful comments as to this spending spree and those who are directly responsible.
