With the acquisitions of six park properties from DeKalb County in June 2010 the City identified a need to create a Master Plan for Parks, Recreation and Open Spaces. Creating a master plan for this will provide long-range guidance to the City of Dunwoody on park redevelopment, possible land acquisitions for future park space, staffing options, operations management, revenue sources and maintenance plans. Two separate tasks were identified in the proposal. Task one will include a green space and parks needs assessment to evaluate current level of service, study potential and appropriate acquisition needs, and identify existing private and public recreation opportunities. Task two will be to update the Brook Run Master Plan.

Wish the City would work out arrangement with GA Power to make permanent walking/biking trails under the high-voltage lines that run "sorta parallel" to Mt. Vernon Rd across Dunwoody. Would be nice to walk and not be next to exhaust fumes.
