John: I'd like to suggest that appropriate and safe pedestrian accommodations be built into any budgets during any construction or repairs of our roads. Requiring moms pushing strollers, schoolchildren walking or on bikes, those with any mobility issues, and really, anyone who wants to walk safely in our city to travel into traffic or on tenuous ground to get around construction is common, concerning, and unnecessary. Here is an example from Sandy Springs from last year that shows conditions that I hope we avoid: https://vimeo.com/27725779

John:

Small potatoes, but I think that the 'surplus' property list, without drugs, guns, etc. could easily be published on the City website.

Most places have a regular sale of these items to the public, and the proceeds go to a good cause, such as Police Athletic League, etc.

I looked at the list and am confident plenty of people would attend a sale of those items.

Just sayin' ...
