John, great job in the prominence you gave this post and in painstakingly detailing all the pertinent information associated with the event. You're a a good man.
*** Hawk Emergency *** I'm in Dunwoody, Georgia and 100 yards awayfrom me is this wounded hawk. Who should I go to? The poor thing can'tfly. I just tweeted this as well.https://twitter.com/GaryRayBetz/status/261562100214816768/photo/1
Every place is ether closed or say they can assist if I bring the hawk in. Putting on my gloves & safety glasses now.
Captured the wounded hawk with a couple of neighbors and is in my garage now in my laundry basket awaiting AC. https://twitter.com/GaryRayBetz/status/261602218917130240/photo/1
So, Officer Head of DeKalb County Animal Control (a real credit to her profession) just picked up my wounded hawk from the laundry basket I captured her in, and the cool thing is that she said if they are able to rehabilitate the hawk, they will bring back her back and release her near my address, which is neat because we've seen her flying around our home on Brookhurst Drive for the past six months or so.
