Dunwoody soldier, Lamar Spells is returning to his home in the Branches tomorrow after 220 days in Afghanistan - Please help us welcome him home at 12:30!

Lamar Spells & Family

Mr. Jim Reiter, the Lead Pastor of the Village Church of Dunwoody wants to soming very special for a member of the Dunwoody community and he would like your help if you are available tomorrow (Friday) about 12:30 pm to assist.

Dunwoody Resident, Mr. Lamar Spells' plane is scheduled to arrive into Atlanta from Mississippi just before 11:30am Friday, February 22. He has been serving us and our nation for 220 days in Afghanistan.
We want to give him a special welcome home so here's the plan for those who are able to come:

Bring your signs, balloons, flags and noisemakers (or just your smiling self) to be on the Spell's driveway when his wife Laura and 6th grade son Ben arrive home with Lamar from the airport.

The current estimated time of arrival with a Dunwoody Police escort is between 12:45-1:15pm.

Updates will be available tomorrow morning throughout the day at the Village Church website www.villagechurchdunwoody.org for the lastest information.

From Dunwoody Village go west on Mt. Vernon Rd towards 400. Just past Dunwoody Baptist Church turn right on Trailridge Drive, then left on Trailridge Place, then right to 4931 Trailridge Pass Dunwoody 30338.

The weather report says it will be rainy, windy and cold; but that certainly doesn't compare to the sacrifice the Spells family has made over the last year. So dress warm, bring your umbrella and we can hang out in their garage as we wait.

This is going to be FUN!    Hope you can make it!
