Prostitution ring busted here in Dunwoody

Two North Georgia residents are facing human trafficking for sexual servitude charges after Dunwoody police said they operated a prostitution ring posing as two different online escort services.  Robert Tyler, 36, of LaGrange and Donna Allen, 39, of Gainesvillle were arrested Monday after a months’ long investigation.  In addition to the human trafficking charges, each also faces prostitution and racketeering charges.

"We found the two owners of Atlanta Fantasies and Ashley's of Atlanta which was an online-based prostitution ring," said Dunwoody Police Officer Tim Fecht.  "We have 26 victims that we've been able to identify. They're working for this organization. They weren't locked inside the apartment or anything like that, but we're not sure the conditions they were forced to work under."  Fecht said the ring operated out of a number of Dunwoody apartment complexes, including one right down the street from police headquarters.

Channel 2 Action News attempted to contact the escort services through numbers found on their websites, but the numbers had been disconnected.  "We've had several instances where people promote themselves as escorts, but it does lead to sex acts and prostitution," said Fecht. “So it's something we're trying to eliminate from our area so we can improve the quality of life for the citizens in Dunwoody."

Tyler and Allen were booked into the DeKalb County Jail.  Both have posted bond.
