Real...Feel free to stay for the next commenter...? Really, I have had more fun watching paint dry. All I hear from the "clean sweepers" is the nearly verbatim misinformation that the "save Dunwoody" group spouts. I thought the 2-week "silent period" would bring some "fresh" perspectives. I applaud them for stepping forward to serve their community, but they seem to have a lot of catching up to do in order to be qualified to sit at the Council table.dpgroupiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09864940870956527437noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2935662058758102231.post-33222111949880731442013-09-24T13:59:45.939-04:002013-09-24T13:59:45.939-04:00Feel free to stay for the next commenter...? Vernon & Vermack:

“…uses the euphemism of Complete Streets to justify destroying Dunwoody’s tree canopy to make way for Bike Lanes. Complete Streets is meant for an urban setting [and] outside the Perimeter Mall area [which] is incompatible with Dunwoody as we know and love.”

Have you seen how nice Mt. Vernon is on the west side of Ashford Dunwoody? Sidewalks on both sides of the street. Bike Lanes for added safety for people who choose to commute, exercise, run errands or go to the shop or an outdoor festival -- without needing to "mix it up" in the road with motor vehicles -- on bikes...

Complete Streets increases home property values and is an attractor of both business relocations and young families seeking to purchase a home.

Please read my article published in the Georgia Municipal Association's website on Complete Streets:

http://peopleplacepurpose.com/2013/08/23/bike-pedestrian-lanes-good-for-business-homeowners/

I’m looking forward to inviting all of the Candidates to meet with the walking and bicycling community in the coming weeks to discuss their perspective on Complete Streets and related items such as this.

Feel free to stay for the next commenter, Mr. Shelton about his views of postponing construction on the Village Parkway.Joe Seconderhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16130137634385579597noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2935662058758102231.post-1620317815728763902013-09-24T10:54:27.510-04:002013-09-24T10:54:27.510-04:00This comment has been removed by the author.Joe Seconderhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16130137634385579597noreply@blogger.com
