This meeting of the 16th went long, then got much longer whereby by the end of the evening there was only one resident in the room who wasn't getting paid to be there. He knows who he is and was commended publicly on the audio in case your interested.
ReplyDeleteThe meeting audio is up and the two most interesting items to me personally were the proposed change to the Ethics policy and the City Manager Update on the new school.
The change to the ethics policy proposes to allow board members of the Dunwoody Homeowners Association to serve on Dunwoody Civic Boards (Planning, Board of Appeals, Community Council), thereby removing the language which made this possible conflict of interest against the original city ethics code.
The second item of interest was the City Manager Update regarding Womack Road and the new school. The conversation was mostly regarding the posted remarks as shown in the post above but the questions from the council to the Public Works Director brought out some interesting operational issues.
The audio is quite long but we did follow the agenda and that should help you find your through the file.

Wow, I did not see any mention of approving the phone/internet item for 10X what was budgeted! I am surprised you did not link the AJC article from today as you do all others related to Dunwoody. Maybe you thought this one would not sit well?
