The Atlanta Journal-Constitution is reporting that they will move their headquarters next year from its longtime home downtown to a Dunwoody location near Perimeter Mall.
The AJC has 850 employees at 72 Marietta St., where it has been located for more than 30 years. The paper has been downtown for about 140 years. The new AJC headquarters will be in leased space at 223 Perimeter Center Parkway. The move will begin in the first quarter of 2010 and will be completed over several months.
Good news for Dunwoody, I think. Hopefully they'll leave Cynthia Tucker in the ATL.
ReplyDeleteRick, I think Cynthia has moved to Washington, D.C.
ReplyDeleteWow! That's great news for Dunwoody. I like that their location is close to the Dunwoody MARTA Station. That area is an ideal location for large organizations with lots of commuters.
ReplyDeleteLegit Fourth Estate comes to Dunwoody! Time to change the city's "official organ" (never liked that term).
ReplyDeleteI heard on NPR this AM that the AJC was moving to Perimeter Parkway in Gwinnett. ?? Not sure we're officially on the map yet, folks.
ReplyDeleteDunwoody looks to be confirmed.
