  2. Wishbone, you have some serious issues. John just posted what was written in the AJC.

  4. As we've discussed here before, if you are interested in keeping up on crimes in your zip code, go to http://www.dekalbmugs.com/alerts and fill out the form on that page for each zip code you want to be notified about.

In addition, John has reported here before about the new service, CrimeMapping.com - which maps out crimes in your area, but doesn't give you arrest reports.

Times are getting tougher and as a consequence, crime is on the rise. It's one thing to get your wallet stolen, quite another to be harmed. Which, BTW, the fairly recent drug-related killing at the car wash in the Texaco involved two white guys from Cumming. I'm sure you recall John's report on that, Wishbone. In fact, if you will click on the search word "crime" in the labels box to the right on this blog, you will see that John reports pretty much all crimes he hears about in Dunwoody - lots of white offenders involved in them too. Check it out.

Crime is all around us - reporting on crime and alerting your friends and neighbors is part of being a good soul.

  6. I rarely delete comments but believed that last post crossed a line of unsubstantiated slander.

DeKalb County has a wonderful on-line criminal and civil judicial system where one can verify such histories and I didn't see it.

    OJS DeKalb (online Judicial System)

Let's please try to be civil in our comments, even if we disagree with what previous comments stated.

    Thanks.

  7. The case I mentioned is evidently being prosecuted by the Dunwoody police, not Dekalb.

If you go to the Dunwoody municipal court citations page and put in the persons last name and 18630, it will appear.

Maybe I should have cited that in my first post.

    Sorry for the confusion.

  9. Just a question, how do you know the citation number for this individual? And why are you making it public?

  11. As I remarked in my initial post, some of my tennis partners related the information to me at our club and had a copy of the information, so I looked it up for myself out of curiosity.

As far as making it public, I think that all court activity by local authorities naturally becomes public information for the asking. The majority of information is usually posted by the authorities themselves.

Anyway, my intention was to point out that all crimes in this area are scrutinized equally, but I don't think that is what is coming through on this discussion.

    Well, I tried :)

  13. Wishbone, my guess is that these are the security photos from Target.
and you attempts of cries of racism are wtihout merit.
while you accuse John you paint aeverybody in Dunwoody with the a racist brush.
If you know John you would realize how stupid your comments are. But then again if you had any real courage you would sign your REAL name and not some stupid handle such as widhbone.
You want to depbate, then come out in public to do so and stop hiding.

  15. Not hiding , I am everywhere all the time and never back down from a debate.
Come to City Council meeting and air your complaints... Stand up and call those who you think are racists….. racists, in public, to their face.
Just be prepared to back it up with some facts and not some rhetoric that is meant to inflame issues and make you feel as you are the moral authority.
Seems you want to piss people off. I don’t waste my time getting angry at shallow people who hide in the internet woods.
Come to some meetings, get involved. Work in the Community Garden and help us feed the hungry in our neighborhoods.
    But you won’t.
You will hide here, insult people that you do not know and apparently never net.
You sound like Vernon Jones, good riddance to you both.
Anytime you want to climb out of your slimy hole and work to improve the city and any problems you think we may have your help is welcome. My guess is you will sit by your PC and try to come up with some clever response but DO nothing. But then again I am simple minded so what would I know
“Boob” clever come back by the way. Your wit is amazing

  16. Mr. Nolan and Mr. Lundsten both seem over the top. Did this community engage each other this way before incorporation? Are these attitudes, comments and perceptions the unintended consequences from the campaign rhetoric for city hood?

  17. Doing things for the community should not belittled if it is done in private. Names don't have to be public. The lowest form of charity is where the recipient of charity knows who assisted and the charity giver knows who they gave to - (although it is still charity). [I am not attesting to or disparaging those mentioned above.]
