Following an extensive series of candidate interviews, as well as these candidate forums, the eduKALB board of directors will rank its preferences of candidates, and release its endorsements and preferred candidates slate on Tuesday, October 11.
Candidate rankings, survey responses, bios and other information supplied by the individual candidates and campaigns will be available on eduKALB's website at http://www.edukalb.org.
All candidate forums will be held from 6:30-8:30 p.m. and are open to all 15 announced candidates and incumbents seeking election to DeKalb School Board District Seats 1, 3, 5, 7 and 9.

With the incongruity of applicable experience when I compare these three profiles, with his existing knowledge and pertinent apperception, his on the job professionalism, his forbearance, courage, and the integrity he maintained while being besmirched by small-minded persons, I do not know how I or anyone else could vote for anyone other than the honorable incumbent Jim Redovian!
ReplyDeleteI truly believe we are so very lucky to have a such a great man willing to perform as a public servant on our children's behalf.
No matter how the election turns out, I thank-you, Mr. Redovian.
Ditto, Mr. Crowley. Jim Redovian, thank you for all you do. You have my vote in November.
ReplyDeleteOUR CURRENT SCHOOL BOARD MEMBER, JIM REDOVIAN, PROVIDES HIS RESPONSE TO THE LINKED QUESTIONNAIRE. LET’S ALLOW HIM TO SPEAK FOR HIMSELF. YOU BE THE JUDGE IF THIS GRAMMAR IS AN EXAMPLE STUDENTS SHOULD EMULATE>
ReplyDeleteQ: In your previous experience, how have you best been able to bridge conflict, or help to build consensus when part of a deeply divided group?
A: The magic word constructive compromise. I have learned that it is impossible to not always get ones way.
Actually, JG, you and "Casey Jones" better keep on "Truckin'", this typo was not of Jim's doing.
ReplyDeleteSuch spite out there in the world! No wonder middle-class American children are turining out to be be such nihilists with so much hate in their hearts being raised as such.
Wow, grammar is not your forte either if you think there is ONE "typo". It's full of errors and embarrassing. Birds of a feather.
ReplyDeleteHey, bud, go back and review all your comments through the year. You have so many where you've made errors like spelling "whether" as "weather" and "their" as "there".
ReplyDeleteBut you might be right about being hyper-critical of others, perhaps if one of us had pointed out your obvious homophone errors, then you would not have continued in the same manner.
I wasn't carefully responding to questions to run for school board. He is. Makes you wonder about his abilities. You keep digging a bigger hole for yourself. I just presented the simple facts of his response without comment. I only reprinted what he wrote. Maybe some think it is great. Yet you are so fearful that it is an attack on Redovian, so you lash out on others like a cornered and sick animal. The more you speak, the more we know what Redovian supporters are like. FANTASTIC!
ReplyDeleteAleister, if you can’t admit there is more than a homophone error, it is going to be hard for us to take you seriously. You lose credibility by sticking your head in the sand. Here is my help for the person who represents us on our school board in case a student reads his poorly crafted response:
ReplyDeleteThe magic word constructive compromise. << THAT’S TWO WORDS. ALSO, SHOULD HAVE EITHER PUT THE WORD(S) AFTER A COLON OR IN QUOTES; IT IS NOT A COMPLETE SENTENCE. I have learned that it is impossible to not always get ones way. <<DOUBLE NEGATIVE. HE ALSO SPLIT THE INFINITIVE; SHOULD HAVE PLACED “NOT” BEFORE “TO”. “ONES WAY” IS POSSESSIVE, SO THERE SHOULD BE AN APOSTROPHE IN “ONE’S”
And in case I have erred in my analysis, please let me know.
Really bud, you need to see someone. What you write is rather disquieting.
ReplyDeleteAll I did was graciously thank a selfless civil servant, and you viciously attack him, and then me.
Tell you what, you've successfully chased me off of this good man's blog, now you can proudly continue to author your odious odes in the basement of your mother's house until one day you go too far. At that point, please get some help and then try to live a happier life. Peace!
Enjoy your farm in Missouri!
ReplyDeleteJerry,
ReplyDeleteDon't feel bad about running off Aleister. She has 'left' this blog at least one other time, perhaps twice.
I will agree with her on Redovian. Jim was a great friend to stand by Dr Lewis. Jim even gave Dr Lewis a bonus/raise even knowing that Dr Lewis was under investigation for wrong doing.
Jim also supported spending millions of tax dollars on a wonderful new central office. This new office even has a gym and workout center for Jim, Cunninham, and other central office workers. Even though our grandchildren here in Dunwoody sit in old dirty trailers for the first few years of school (with no bathrooms) it is comforting to know central office staff can take an hour lunch break and exercise in the new central office.
I will also add that under leadership by Jim and other board members DeKalb schools have really gained national attention during Jim's years on the school board. Nearly every educator in the USA is aware of Georgia's DeKalb County School System. We are famous. Jim loves to vote for school for the arts, funneling funds there every time he can cast a 'yes' vote. That special school for friends of friends is way more important when comparing it to Chesnut and Kingsley.
Keep up the spectacular work Jim. Please try to get some more used trailers out here to Dunwoody. The children love not having bathrooms, walking in the rain/cold.
Glory Jackson and Aleister Crowley are never on the same blog-post at the same time.....hmmmm,
ReplyDeleteBoth write with Erasmusian effulgence, both write with dominant male sentence and grammar structure, both are agent-provocatuers......hmmm
And, whenever trouble and rejection of their point of view rears up in the blogs, they go off in a huff....hmmmmm
Has anyone found a set of horn-rimmed glasses and a grey flannel suit in Dunwoody, possibly near a phone booth or janitors' closet?
And, Famous Farmhouser, you have to mix up your prose when you use your alias and real personnas on different blogs....

Ah, gentlemen, your curiosity really does have me at a demure disadvantage! How can I resist?
ReplyDeleteIf knowing who I am is really such an obsession with you gallants, you may buy this lady a drink, and to accommodate your fantasies, I shall order rye and soda.
Just name the date and place.
And oh, please forgive my manners, you will know me, dear Jason and Orpheus, as I'll be the attractive siren in the sleek amaranthine dress wearing a black orchid corsage, but please do take time to allow yourself to leer down at my Phyllis Dietrichson anklet
ReplyDeletepresented to me by my boon companion, Demeter.
Though I just request, my darlings, that you allow me a week's notice that I may order my stelis immersa from northern Venezuela in time for for our rendezvous.
