On
August 18th, kids and families in the City of Dunwoody will be lacing up their tennis shoes
to participate in the Lekotek Run -- all to benefit children with disabilities.
This Dunwoody-based event, held at Georgia
Perimeter College
provides an opportunity to help kids and stay fit in the process. That’s a
winning combination. We hope you will
consider running or even fielding a team for the event. We have course options
for every fitness level -- a 4 mile run/walk and a 1-mile fun run/walk.
The four mile road race and racewalk and
one mile fun run start and finish at Georgia Perimeter’s Dunwoody campus. The
four mile race is a scenic route through Dunwoody and begins at 8:00am. The one
mile fun run begins at 9:00 am. All participants receive a multi-colored 100%
cotton long sleeve T shirt and all children receive medals. A finish line
brunch and party include fun activities for the whole family. In addition to pre-race registration at
Active.com and at the Sandy Springs Phidippides store, race day registration
will begin at 7 AM. So run for a cause
and help Lekotek kids make great strides.
