  2. Dunwoody, can we cut out the socialist crap? No more bike lanes! If you want bike lanes then you and your idle trust fund baby friends can buy your own private road. Let the roads be free for commerce and those who work to drive on.

I'm really getting fed up with all of our tax money going to support the pleasures of a bunch of hippies.

No more bike lanes, no more ripping out treed medians to make yuppie malls, no more expanding Brookrun park walks and chopping down trees so that bike riders can run down pedestrians, and no more using the taxpayers' park land for gardens to be given to lazy people who don't want to work.

This is a capitalist country, not the USSR, using taxpayer money for goofy leisure projects instead of fixing the potholes in our roads is not the way to go! Save Dunwoody now and stop this nonsense!

  4. The agenda for Monday has two new items that were added Friday afternoon, listed as M5 and M6. Mayor Davis is nominating Hayward Westcott to serve on the Planning Commission but the agenda for the Feb 11 Planning Commission was published with no vacancies so I do not know who is vacating their seat? The other item is a brief discussion / report on the 911 response as requested by Council as requested by Council at the last meeting.

In case you are not aware, here is a list of current various boards for the City of Dunwoody, and on this list it appears Mr. Converse is no longer on the Planning Commission.

  5. The Rider

    A boy told me
    if he roller-skated fast enough
his loneliness couldn't catch up to him,
the best reason I ever heard
for trying to be a champion.
    What I wonder tonight
pedaling hard down King William Street
is if it translates to bicycles.
A victory! To leave your loneliness
panting behind you on some street corner
while you float free into a cloud of sudden azaleas,
pink petals that have never felt loneliness,
no matter how slowly they fell.
