Proposal to reconstruct the Interstate 285 (I-285) at State Route (SR) 400 interchange meetings announced for Dunwoody Baptist - Georgetown residents want sound barriers.

The $710 million project would involve reconstruction of the I-285 / 400 interchange as well as the addition of collector-distributor lanes. It could be open to traffic by December 2019.

Residents of the Georgetown Community have been requesting Sound Barriers between them and 285 for awhile and I would expect that they will be requesting this during public comment meetings listed below.   With the larger traffic volumes at higher speeds making more noise, you would think the addition of sound barriers abutting Georgetown could be accommodated.
