Comprehensive Plan - 5 Year Update 

 Monday, March 2, 6:30-8:30pm

The existing 2030 Comprehensive Plan was adopted in 2010 and is the long-range planning document that has helped guide the City of Dunwoody over the last 5 years. The Comprehensive Plan is a policy document that assists decision-making and administrative actions in an effort to guide the City of Dunwoody towards the community’s preferred future. Subsequent to the original Comprehensive Plan adoption, the city has also adopted the Comprehensive Transportation Plan, Parks and Recreation Master Plan, Dunwoody Village Master Plan, and Georgetown/North Shallowford Master Plan as addenda, demonstrating the city’s continued commitment and efforts toward establishing an encompassing guiding policy document.

In an effort maintain its relevance and in keeping with the Rules of Georgia Department of Community Affairs, Chapter 110-12-1, Standards and Procedures for Local Comprehensive Planning, the city will be conducting a Comprehensive Plan 5 Year Update throughout 2015. The update will coordinate the assessment of new demographic and economic data and trends, consider the current version of the Comprehensive Plan, make amendments based on community input, and will have a heavy focus on economic development analysis and policy setting.
