This is what happens when we drive the speed limit on a two lane residential street in Dunwoody.

This isn't the first time this has happened and the city is already exploring safety options, they just can't get here fast enough for some residents.

  1. Happens all the time. I had a college kid tailgating me down Womack during the time when both Dunwoody High and Dunwoody Elementary schools had their School Zone lights flashing. The kid got so irate that I was doing 25 in the school zone that he flew past me right in front of the elementary school, thank goodness no kids were around. The lights were still flashing but he didn't care, he had to get to class!

  2. We HAVE to slow down traffic in our community. Please sign our petition asking the Mayor & Council to put safety as the number one priority in funding transportation. When you plan for roads & cars, you get roads & cars. When you plan for people & places, you get people & places. https://www.change.org/p/dunwoody-mayor-denis-shortal-fund-safe-streets-for-dunwoody

  3. I've had this happen to me also on Old Spring House Lane. Terrible. But please don't record an incident on your phone while driving. That's not safe either. I believe you!

  4. This happened to me as well on N Ptree. People have no idea it's a residential street and they treat it as any other like Tilly Mill or Mt Vernon.

Short term - park a cruiser to reduce speeders. Long term - stripe the street with narrow lanes and bike lanes. Add some speed bumps.

If we do nothing, an accident is going to happen.

  5. The driver passed on the inside lane of a blind curve just before N. Peachtree Way. That could have been a disaster.

  6. Unfortunately this doesn't surprise me. I have been passed on Womack (a 2 lane road) during school hours!

I am wondering because this car's licence plate is visible, it is possible to give him a ticket??

  7. This is absolutely unacceptable. As president I will ensure that violators of the law are prosecuted to the fullest extent. This person clearly is a foreigner that thinks it is OK to drive on the wrong side of the road. Maybe in your country you drive on that side but not in MINE! When I am president I am going to build a wall to stop people like this from entering into our communities. Dunwoody is one of my favorite communities because the people within it are just like me. We shop at Whole Foods in our BMW's, ride our bikes down main roads, and fill up our HOA's inboxes with complaints about the foreigners down the street. You know back in the good ole days it would have been perfectly acceptable to pull this man out of his car and beat his ass on the side of the road. When I am president I am going to bring ass whoopins back. Lets make America great again!

  8. Travis,
Mt. Vernon and Till Mill are also residential street, there are driveways that exit on to those roads. Nobody should exceed the speed limit on ANY Of those roads.
