  1. At present, this application is not expected to come before City Council. What the developer is proposing fits within the existing zoning category (C-1 "commercial), with the exception of variances about setbacks. The city's Zoning Board of Appeals will hear the variance request on Thursday, February 7 at 6:00 pm at city hall. The public is invited to speak during the ZBA meeting on the variances requested.

Generally speaking, absent a rezoning request or a special land use request, City Council will not have a say on redevelopment projects if it falls within the property owner's rights and within our zoning code. However, our staff will enforce our streetscape, walkability, and other applicable design and building standards.

If you wish to read the variance request file, here's a link to it: http://dunwoodyga.gov/ckeditorfiles/files/Community%20Development/ZBA%20Cases/App%20Upload.pdf
