Child Hit, Killed in Dunwoody Parking Lot

Investigators said a toddler died after being struck by a car in DeKalb County Tuesday night.

Police said the 23-month-old child was in the care of a baby-sitter in a parking lot. Investigators said a driver parked in the lot, drove out of the space and ran over the child.

Police said the child was in front of the car and couldn't be seen by the driver. The driver did stop at the scene.

There has been no word on what, if any charges. The names of the child and the driver had not been released as of Tuesday evening.

  1. In the video it states that the North Chase Apts. are on Fulton Industrial in Dunwoody. According to the map the apartments are on Peachtree Industrial Blvd in CHAMBLEE, not DUNWOODY...

  2. North Chase is on the access road to Peachtree Industrial Blvd just South of Winters Chapel and is in the City of Dunwoody.
