RIP Mr. Larry Adams, friend, passionate crossing guard at Dunwoody Elementary and involved member of the DHA.

Larry's passing will leave a hole in many lives and he was always a friend to me.  His passion for community service after his retirement from the postal service brought him into volunteering to be a crossing guard at Dunwoody Elementary where he would relay stories to me of close calls whereby crossing guards like himself literally put themselves in harms way for the protection of our children.

Below is the Proclamation Larry was able to accept from Governor Nathan Deal in 2013 on behalf of all the dedicated crossing guards in the State of Georgia.
