Dunwoody - Best "small town" Fourth of July Parade in the State of Georgia.

If you have never attended the best small town parade in Georgia, you are in for a treat this Fourth of July in Dunwoody, GA. There will be 30,000 people attending with 150 groups participating in Georgia's Largest Fourth of July Parade.

The Eagle Scouts will be leading the way.

There will be ...
  • Veterans Groups
  • Army Marching Bands
  • High School Marching Bands
  • Wacky, Seed & Feed Marching Band (Great fun!)
  • Classic Cars
  • DHS Football Team with the Large Flag
  • Church Floats
  • Clowns & Politicians
  • Politicians & Clowns
    • (Cynthia McKinney sends her regrets.)
  • Neighborhood Swim Teams
  • Crawford Lewis & neighborhood Principals
  • Scouts with Super Soakers
  • Clark Howard (I'm thinking about super gluing a couple of quarters along the route but afraid of causing potholes.)
  • Granny's with Kazoos
  • Black Hawk Helicopters
At the end there will be a celebration including...
  • BBQ by the plate
  • Atlanta Blue Notes Band
  • Calvary Assembly of God, Kids Carnival
  • Army Ground Forces Band
  • Free Rita's Italian Ice
Do a good deed - The Dunwoody Boy Scouts will be collecting canned goods along the parade route to support the Community Action Center. Please take a few minutes and have your children and grandchildren assist in cleaning out the cupboards for items to donate. Then the Boy Scouts at the end of the Parade route will be collecting items to send overseas to our servicemen and women. Books, travel size toiletries, DVD's, baby wipes & snacks are all appreciated.

The BBQ is Boy Scout Troop 266's annual fundraising event. Tickets are $7 in advance, $8 at the "door."

A great way to complete your Parade watching - and no plates to wash!
