Dunwoody Zoning Board of Appeals to hear about new homes being shoehorned into lots that encroach on either neighbors, maximum heights or the stream buffers. Briers North & Nerine Circle

Zoning Board of Appeals
Thursday July 2nd at 6:00 pm
Dunwoody City Hall, 4800 Ashford Dunwoody Rd, 30338

The Dunwoody City Council puts zoning law into place and the Zoning Board of Appeals hears and decides cases requesting variances to the zoning ordinance, sign ordinance, and the land development regulations ordinance.   Thursday looks to be a full agenda with new houses being shoe horned into lots that encroach on either neighbors, maximum heights or the stream buffers.   Should be interesting to see how these are handled as the staff is recommending Approval.   The numerous requests for variances on Nerine Circle are silent of any opposition but the house on Brierwood Place located in the Briers North Subdivision off Tilly Mill has numerous letters of opposition and as it is a stream encroachment case they have provided documentation of flooding in the area.

It will be interesting to see what the Zoning Board does?

If you are interested in these cases or would like to comment on what is being proposed, I suggest you attend the meeting in person and be prepared to speak.
