Stage Door Players of Dunwoody offers the final weekend of "Unnecessary Farce"

I have heard great things about this "Unnecessary Farce" at the Stage Door Players from numerous people but haven't been able to fit it into the schedule, though that may change this weekend.

The website Atlanta 365 highlighted it today and figured I would share.

It’s no secret that I support the arts and local theatre, and I have a special place in my heart for theatres in Atlanta in which I’ve worked over the years. Stage Door Players in one such theatre – you can always count on Producing Artistic Director Robert Egizio to offer up a variety of high-quality plays and musicals to keep you entertained all year longUnnecessary Farce is no exception.
Two cops. Three crooks. Eight doors. Stage Door’s production is the regional premiere of this fast-paced farce on crime dramas, and was written by Paul Slade Smith and directed by Robert Egizio. Set in two adjoining hotel rooms, the action is non-stop from beginning to end. You’re never quite sure who’s in which room- and neither are the characters on stage. The ensemble cast consists of Larry Davis, Carrie Walrond Hood, John Markowski, Alan Phelps, Holly Stevenson, Annie York and Jacob York. Ready? Set? Laugh!

The production runs for just one more weekend – through October 17, 2010. Showtimes are Friday and Saturday evening at 8:00 PM, and Sunday afternoon matinee at 2:30. For tickets, you should visit the Stage Door Players website; tickets are available online through tix.com. For questions, you can call the Box Office at 770-396-1726.

Stage Door Players, Dunwoody’s only professional theatre company, was founded in 1974 as a Community Improvement Project of the Dunwoody Woman’s Club. The intimate space of the theatre, which holds just around 100 patrons, makes seeing a show at State Door an experience like no other. With stadium seating only four rows deep that borders two sides of the stage, there’s not a bad seat in the house and patrons can truly feel like they are a part of the show. See you at the Stage Door!
