Artistic Le Méridien hotel to open in Dunwoody

Le Méridien brand to open across from Perimeter Mall

The 275-room Atlanta Perimeter Hotel & Suites on Ashford Dunwoody Rd which was recently a W Hotel will be rebranded as a Le Méridien.

The Parisian-inspired brand was acquired by Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide Inc. about six years ago and is now expected to grow significantly.

“We are very excited about the opportunity to work with this new brand,” said Katie Brenckle, Executive Director of the Convention and Visitors Bureau of Dunwoody. “I think it’s going to be a good thing for that property, for the location and the market.”

Mixing contemporary culture with its European heritage, Le Méridien creates a culturally refined, meaningful and stimulating atmosphere which inspires participants to celebrate the beauty of a moment and the possibilities for insight that live within common occurrences.

Brilliant news. We stayed at the Le Meridien Kuala Lampur and were impressed. Lets hope they properly update the entire building.

Poems come from
ordinary experiences and objects,
I think.
Out of memory —
a dress I lent my daughter on her way back to college;
a newspaper photograph of war;
a breast self-exam;
the tooth fairy;
Calvinist parents who beat up their children;
a gesture of love;
seeing oneself naked over age 50
in a set of bright hotel bathroom mirrors.
