I hope you deny the petition for the town homes to have reduced sidewalk width.

I am interested in why you think the reduced sidewalk width should be denied. There is currently a 6 foot wide sidewalk in place that runs the length of the parkway. "Code" would require a second six foot sidewalk next to the current sidewalk. If this were a storefront or a restaurant, I can see the advantages to having an entry/exit area in front of the door and an extra 6 foot area might make sense. I can't see the advantage of the extra concrete in this plan for townhomes. I'd rather have the proposed landscape strip. I'm just interested in your rationale.
