Scouting Fun and Adventure for Dunwoody Area Youth - Open House event for Prospective Scouts Saturday from 1:30 to 3 pm at Kingswood Church

The isolation of the Pandemic has been especially hard for our youth. Scouts BSA offers an opportunity for Boys and Girls to safely meet new friends, participate in fun activities and go on challenging adventures. Along the way, youth learn life skills, leadership, self-reliance, and are mentored by more experienced Scouts. Scouts learn how to make good decisions based in the ethical and moral practices of the Scout Oath and Scout Law.

Scouting is fun, like in this Scouts BSA Video, and the health and safety is always a top priority.  All our programs are currently outside and follow Covid safety guidelines. In addition, trained adult leaders make sure that all Youth Protection Guidelines are strictly followed. We also sponsor safety programs including Drug and Alcohol Awareness, Cyber Security, Swimming and First Aid.

Kingswood Church sponsors both a Boys Troop and a Girls Troop for youth in Middle and High School. We invite any Families with youth currently in 5th grade or older to join us on April 17th from 1:30 to 3:00 at our Scout Area at the Kingswood Church Campus. Troop 1919 and Troop 477 will help your youth join them for some fun games.  There will also be information available for parents.

Directions: 4896 N Peachtree Rd, Dunwoody, GA 30338 <https://goo.gl/maps/MiAE2hCTnqqHcUeM8>  The Scout Area is adjacent to Tilly Milly Road; when facing the front entrance of the church, head left towards the back of the building.  You will see parking and people before you get to the back.

Kingswood Scouting believes that Scouts BSA should be available to every youth and helps make Scouting affordable, with financial assistance now available. A Family Cub Scout Pack is also available to Boys and Girls in Kindergarten through 5th grade.
