The City of Dunwoody is partnering with the Dunwoody-Atlanta Chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Inc. to organize the “Souper Bowl of Caring” food drive. The goal is to collect 55,000 pounds of food for the Community Assistance Center and Malachi’s Storehouse from December 1 through January 17, 2022.
Nonperishable food collected during the drive will be donated to Malachi’s Storehouse and the Community Assistance Center. Collection bins for food donations will be set up at the Brook Run Park playground during Holiday Lights on Dec. 1.
Bins will also be available until Jan. 17 in these locations:
- Spruill Center for the Arts lobby near Stage Door Theater, 5339 Chamblee Dunwoody Road
- Porter Brew & Que, 5486 Chamblee Dunwoody Road in the Shops of Dunwoody
- SOHO Office: Printing, Shipping & Business Services Store, 2090 Dunwoody Club Drive #106 in the Orchard Park Shopping Center
Donation bin hours and additional bin locations are listed online: www.dunwoodyga.gov/mlkday. This website will also include information about service projects for Dunwoody’s MLK, Jr. Day of Service on Jan. 17, 2022. More details will be released in December.
