For those of you who enjoy listening to this audio of city council meetings the audio of this session was broken into three pieces and follows the agenda.
For the most part everything passed except for the Hotel / Motel Tax item which was deferred until the Dunwoody Tourism Board structure is hammered out in a meeting later this week.
The Atlanta Gas Light franchise fee was also added to the agenda with very minor changes from the previous review.

The City of Dunwoody is accepting applications for Municipal Court Clerk.
JOB SUMMARY:
Serves as clerk to the Dunwoody Municipal Court. Clerk duties include preparing for and managing the functions of the municipal court, preparing the court docket and managing the financial records of the court. Duties are performed independently under the general supervision of the City Manager and in coordination with the Municipal Court Judge.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and/or Experience:
a) Bachelor's degree or Associates Degree in business, public administration, or related field from an accredited college or university.
b) Five years of progressively responsible experience in municipal court administration.
c) Any equivalent combination of education and experience is acceptable.

Essential Functions: Attends training sessions to learn proper methods, procedures, and techniques used in risk reduction, fire suppression, public education, and emergency medical care; responds with crew on emergency, accident, fire, and emergency medical calls on fire apparatus and emergency rescue vehicle; studies and participates in equipment use training; upon completion of the academy, performs fire control/suppression duties and administers first aid and basic life support to patients; maintains apparatus, emergency rescue vehicle and fire station; conducts business and hydrant inspections; conducts salvage and overhauls of premises after fire is extinguished; participates in fire drills, public education programs, and risk reduction inspections.
Minimum Requirements: High school diploma or GED. Must be a minimum of 18 years of age. Must obtain Emergency Medical Technician-Intermediate (EMT-I) certification from the Georgia Department of Human Resources and NPQ1 Firefighter Certification within 12 months of employment in this classification. Must possess and maintain a valid State driver’s license. The working test period for this job classification is 12 months.

The skies of Dunwoody were filled with Helicopers on Sunday Afternoon.
Atlanta Helicopter R/C Club @ Brook RunOn Sunday afternoon my boys and I were out riding our bikes through Brook Run Park when we discovered that the Atlanta Helicopter Radio/Controlled Club was using the back 30 acres of the park for their monthly gatherings. We took the opportunity to hop off the bikes to sit and watch various types of aircraft buzz around the field doing incredible acrobatics for about an hour.
The club meets every second Sunday in the very back of Brook Run Park from noon until 5:00 pm.
Dunwoody City Councilman, John Heneghan plans on being a Shavee for St. Baldricks's.
Shaving my head this upcoming Friday afternoon may seem as an unusual fund-raiser, but it is undertaken in solidarity with children with cancer, who often lose their hair during treatment.
St. Baldrick's is the world's largest volunteer-driven fundraising event for childhood cancer research. Thousands of volunteers shave their heads in solidarity of children with cancer, while requesting donations of support from friends and family. Since 2005, the St. Baldrick’s Foundation has funded 23 Fellows and 12 Scholars, helping launch brilliant new careers in childhood cancer research, and awarded over $28 million to support research at more than 230 institutions.
