The City of Grand Rapids Rocks in the largest and longest LipDub video filmed to date.

It was filmed on May 22nd, 2011 and involved 5000 people, marching bands, parades, weddings, motorcades, bridges on fire, helicopter take offs, and shutting down a major portion of the city. Roger Ebert calls this “The Greatest Music Video Ever Made” and since it uses “American Pie,” written by Don McLean as the soundtrack I might just agree. The music video was created as an official response to the Newsweek article calling Grand Rapids a “dying city” with the $40,000 production cost being entirely financed by the generosity of local sponsors.

John - thx for posting. Amazing video when you consider that there is not a single edit. For someone that was in the TV business for 20+ years - that's incredible! I may steal it for my blog.
