I would like to report that it is my understanding that two Dunwoody Police also responded to the 1am call that night as well. The first and most important thing I want from government is to provided me safety.
real simple, how about one of you email Chief Grogan and ask him if DPD responded. Perhaps DPD has a protocol to follow on all calls, even those when DeKalb Fire responds.
Email the mayor directly. He will respond to you. No sense in posting the same thing all over John's blog. We all read every post, no matter where it is posted.
Dunwoody needs to be careful - if DeKalb decides to cut its losses and no longer offer fire protection we'll be in trouble.
If that happens, I make a motion we combine services (fire and police) with Sandy Springs.

I was wondering when someone would get around to identifying that Dunwoody PD may also be at fault.
What leads you to believe the police responded at the 1 am call? There is nothing in the official report to indicate the police were notified.

Would it not be up to the 911 dispatcher to notify the PD? There is nothing in the report to indicate as such.
Aleister,
