I left a similar note on Dunwoody Talk, but I believe the City Council should be considering land-banking the Perimeter Pointe Park property and some adjacent vacant land for a future Perimeter Center school.
I'd really like to see COD and DeKalb Country work a land-swap for the old Chamblee (Shallowford) school on Chamblee-Dunwoody Road as the future home of the Dunwoody City Hall and Municipal Center.
This would be at least 10 years down the road, but the Chamblee school property has great highway access, is closer to the center of Dunwoody, and with some privacy buffers would offer negligible impact on the Chateau Woods neighbors. Plus, the new PVC Park would be immediately across the street.
