Are food trucks illegal in Dunwoody, even on private property where they are wanted by the owner?
Above is the Hail Caesar Food Truck sporting a Dunwoody address that you may have seen at the Dunwoody 4th of July parade as well at the recent Lemonade Days festival.
Today I am being told that based on the current ordinances in place that these rolling restaurants are not allowed (even on private property) though I clearly remember a topic of discussion (informal work session?) where I believe I was told these were legal on private property.
It looks like the City Council will be reviewing the code in the very near future in order to weigh the pros and cons of a possible ordinance change which would allow food trucks to operate within our borders in a reasonable manner. Stay tuned.

OK. It's been over 24 hours and no one has said:

If consistency is the hobgoblin of little minds, perhaps we really do have some great thinkers here in da 'wood.
We do have a thing called Food Vehicle Saturday though, a lot of them collect in a a vehicle lot around the afternoon. Looks like a fun few days, young lady.
