Dunwoody City Council told city budget could see ‘radical decrease’ due to virus

Three funds (sources of revenue) will take an immediate hit, SPLOST which comes from sales tax, Hotel-Motel taxes, and new construction building permit fees.  Over time if the economy gets really bad, business licenses will not be renewed and property taxes will have a higher uncollected rate, therefore, the staff has already started cutting the administrative budget and Council will need to review and reevaluate plans and obligations like paving and projects.  Read the full report.
