Dunwoody's food and dining stability in the wake of shutdowns and quarantine - Food distribution from DeKalb & Malachi's as well as dining out opportunities.

All DeKalb County students can receive a free bagged lunch daily, Monday through Friday, from 10 a.m. to noon at Sequoyah Middle School located in nearby Doraville and Cross Keys High School located just south of the Brookhaven Marta Station.

Food assistance is available locally if needed.   The community welcomed to donate.

MALACHI'S STOREHOUSE at St. Patrick's Episcopal Church, 4755 North Peachtree Rd, Dunwoody, Georgia 30338 offers food for those in need every Wednesday from 11:00 AM - 3:00 PM.  With 2300 students in the DHS cluster who rely on Free & Reduced breakfast and lunch. No school means no food and kids go hungry therefore Mayor Deutsch and other members of the community are gathering supplies to ensure there is enough food to ensure no one goes hungry.

Many community members have reached out wanting to help. We are working with Malachi's Storehouse to provide non-perishable lunch items. We have several ways for you to help.
You can shop from our wish lists and have items shipped. Or you can drop off items on Tuesday between 4 and 7 PM in the back of St Patrick’s church, 4755 N Peachtree Rd. (there will be signs)

We are all advised to stay away from crowds and stay about 6 feet away from people if you can, I hope you are trying to do that.   One small problem?   We all want local non-chain restaurants to thrive in Dunwoody. Therefore, I highly recommend that you patronize your favorites for take out. Otherwise, they might not survive this crisis.
