Robert Wittenstein pulled out a magnificent upset. Good for him. He ran a great campaign, and deserves to be on Dunwoody's City Council. I think his message of Open Government resonated with our community.
I was a little scared about all of the revelations of studies kept secret, and the bidding process for our city services being written to accomodate just one bidder.
I'm glad we'll have Robert fighting for us.
An upset? I don't think so. He outspent his opponent by $10,000 or so (he spent nearly $4 for every $1 spent by Holliday). I hope Robert does a good job but I do not think his opponent was in favor of a non-open Govt as Wittenstein implied. I was disappointed that RW went negative in the last week of the campaign.
With the 100+ people on the 'inside' of making Dunwoody a city this first council will be very transparent.
