Letter to the Editor,
Our good friend and neighbor, John Heneghan is running for City Councilman in the upcoming September elections. John has been a valued friend and neighbor, and his commitment and service have affected Dunwoody already in so many positive ways. John and his wife Kristin, are well known in our warm neighborhood of Dunwoody North. They have continually set an example of the importance of community—often they are the first people to welcome new neighbors, help a friend in need, and deliver a home cooked meal.
John has served as President of our Neighborhood Association for the past three years and has tackled impactful issues such as zoning, police presence, and speeding. Before that, John was an asset in the development of Brook Run Park, and recently, helped to resolve issues that held up the building of a crosswalk in front of Peachtree Middle School. This eye for detail also kept him in the forefront of the referendum for the City of Dunwoody. In the five years we have known John, our family has been impressed by his intelligence, thoughtfulness and strength of character.
We know our neighbors will agree the Heneghan family have been such a great asset to our neighborhood, and John Heneghan will serve the city of Dunwoody with this same integrity.

John; As a pedestrian and bike rider, I want to personally thank you for the crossing at Peachtree Middle School. It is, hands down, the best one in Dunwoody, specifically with the amount of time that is allotted for pedestrians to cross (15 seconds, as opposed to the exactly 4 seconds allotted at the Mt. Vernon/Tilly Mill crossing). Considering that these pedestrians are often children, it means a great deal.
