Scripps National Spelling Bee is this week and I am cheering for Ms. Julia Denniss.

I know for a fact that I am not smarter then a sixth grader, nor in anyway qualified for this contest. Are you willing to admit the same?

Click here to take the test to see if you measure up. I dare you.

OK, I Double Dog Dare You? What are you, Chicken? Come on Ralphie...

I decided to latch my tongue onto the flagpole and I didn't do so well. Only 14 points (would not have qualified for quarter finals). I actually consider myself to be a pretty decent speller too...

"Your score is 23. Congratulations! With a score like that, you could have qualified for the Quarterfinals."

Not that could do anything like that on stage, in front of an audience, on camera, etc., etc. Best of luck to the young Miss Denniss!

After three rounds Julia failed to make the Semifinals but will probably try again next year.

We are very proud to have been represented by Julia and may she forever know that she is still smarter then I will ever be.
