Newt Gingrich - The speaker of the party of "Christian" and tea party moral values.

The entitled white man who never worked a day of manual labor in his life wants African-American children to clean the toilets in their elementary schools to teach them work skills. Could you imagine cleaning a toilet bowl after that blubber-butt Newt had just defiled it?

The duplicitous and hypocritical man who led the impeachment of Bill Clinton over the very same charge "adultery" he was committing.

The cowardly provocateur who never served in our country's armed forces (Gingrich avoided the Vietnam War draft through deferments because he was a student) but attacks and demeans Muslim-American as either terrorists or terrorist sympathizers in order that other of our brave men and women will die in a war the coward agitates.

Is Newt's request that he made of his second wife for an open marriage a "white" Christian value as well? Must be, as I'm sure this piece of garbage will probably post about 80% of the Dunwoody vote in the upcoming Georgia Republican primary.

"A school in South Carolina is looking for a new team name and mascot and will be removing their current 'Cougar' name, because of parents' complaints about the word's 'negative double entendre'."

Hopefully our local branch of the Georgia and Florida Family Association doesn't get wind of the name of Chesnut's mascot or else we'll be forced to spend our tax monies on rebranding all the Chesnut logos just to appease the fascist Christian Coalition.

Don't folks got better things to do with their lives?

Colleen O'Casey said...

FYI - I'm told there's a similar incident (i.e. a Cougar witch hunt) at a new school out in Utah.

Relax Miss Colleen. Let this run its course and don't bring unnecessary and unwanted attention to this inane issue.

Eventually I do believe the connotation associated with that noble animal and its demeaning pejorative appellation it places on beautiful middle-aged women will fade and be forgotten before this ever becomes a controversy in a place as sensible as Dunwoody.

However, people as old as me know we have been through this before with much more enduring consequences. That's why you'd be hard-pressed to find a school mascot or team name of "Beaver".

Someone tell me why HAV Colleen think their reads on national politics has anything to do with this blog.?
Why don't you both man up and stop being cowards and write under your real names?
you "agitate" the war within by your hateful, angry , anonymous postings.
try having honest political discussions in the light of day instead of this cowardly way .

Colleen O'Casey said...

I write under my real first name but use my maiden surname, if it's any of your business.

So, what's got you so cranky? No local incumbent candidates currently running for office that you can cowardly libel, so you have get into with me?

Bob Lundsten said...

I libeled no one . And at least I am upfront and take the heat..
your heated rhetoric is astounding. You want to talk in an open and transparent forum, step out of the shadows.
Until you do you are nothing but poisonous hot air and background noise.

Colleen O'Casey said...

You did engage in cowardly "character assassination" of a local leader as that respective respected leader himself described.

If you have disagreement with my take on national politics, then you are very welcome to post your own comments, but you have no business disparaging me personally.

I don't use my current last name as I don't care to have right-wing fanatics (e.g. KKK, neo-Nazi's, tea party, etc.) bothering me or my family.

BTW... Do you have an email contact available?

Don't include me in your list or your reindeer games, folks. You really don't want to do that. I didn't sleep well last night - I dreamed I was a muffler and woke up exhausted.

Please don't naively assume that going crazy means you are not aware of going mad - it is a very painful process of which you are at all times very agonizing mindful. I am myself, and not to be listed as others. Understand?

Sure, solve crimes in California, but what about the guy who stole my bowling ball?

What in the hell, GaryRayBetz, are you talking about?

Just got back the ER. Second concussion within a year.

Learned something there though -

Hire_A_Veteran said...

Thanks GaryRayBetz. I already got www.allrise.org and www.nadcp.org/learn/veterans treatment-court-clearinghouse from your own writer's blog this morning.

Yours is the first site I access when I boot up. Hope she's doing better. You did the right thing in getting her to the ER right away, especially if she's had one before. Concussions aren't something to mess with. Why don't you open up your own site for comments or at least allow your readers to contact you?

One more thing -

"From Dow Jones Newswires: Sears Holdings Corp shares jumped to $49.00 Friday -- putting the stock up 57 percent for the year (2012) -- as the retailer was reportedly making progress in reassuring its financing partners."

Always a very good sign for the economy when a former "widows and orphans" stock is making these types of upward strides.

Trust Women!

On Friday, our President took a huge step forward for women's health, finally requiring insurance companies to treat women equally by covering contraception costs.

But believe it or not, Republican presidential candidates and legislators are fighting against that basic healthcare need, as well as supporting extreme restrictions on reproductive care. And because this is an election year, women's health and reproductive justice are in the spotlight.

That's why I'm joining in the Trust Women online march (www.trustwomenpac.org). Millions of women and men across the country support comprehensive healthcare for women and reproductive freedom. This online march is a way for us to stand in solidarity, show our numbers, and send a strong message to elected officials that we're watching and we vote.

Please Trust Women!

Further review indicates that these names are also being used by the person in question.

This site appears to be infested by a disruptive individual.

It will be interesting to see what a cross match analysis of the names turns up.

"Arizona Rep. Gabrielle Giffords announced on her website Sunday that she will resign from Congress this week to continue her recuperation."

This is so sad; America will truly miss her wisdom and insight. God bless her!

Gabrielle Giffords and her husband astronaut U.S. Navy captain Mark Kelly are true American heroes as well as the brave men and women currently wearing or having formerly worn a uniform of a US military service.

Thank-you for you concern, Hire a Veteran, she is doing fine; she has to stay still for three days as there was brain swelling. Regarding allowing persons to make comments on my site or contact me - I just don't have the time to monitor. That's why I won't update it for weeks on some occasions.

Joining the Colours

There they go marching all in step so gay!
Smooth-cheeked and golden, food for shells and guns.
Blithely they go as to a wedding day,
The mothers' sons.

The drab street lights stares to see them row on row
On the high tram-tops, singing like the lark.
Too careless-gay for courage, singing they go
Into the dark.

With tin whistles, mouth-organs, any noise,
They pipe the way to glory and the grave;
Foolish and young, the gay and golden boys
Love cannot save.

High heart! High courage! The poor girls they kissed
Run with them: they shall kiss no more, alas!
Out of the mist they stepped - into the mist
Singing they pass.

Know that I may agree with some comments with screen ID's you have listed or post similar opinions but please do not make a very serious error in assuming that I am affiliated in any shape or form with these ID's otherwise.

If detective work is an aspiration of yours, then I would suggest that you don't quit your day job.

Web blogs are useful to elected officials to elicit public opinion, vet issues openly, and gauge public opinions.

As well, they are a wonderful resource, if not unusual resource for poetry, an oft overlooked and forgotten joy of life.

Blogs can also become an open window into the realm of bat poop crazy-talk, thus losing credibility and importance.

John Heneghan said...

Point taken on the last point Max, my issue is that if I start deleting comments (something I almost never do) where do I stop deleting?

I would prefer that the blog stay open and unmoderated but if the utility of service is deeply degraded then I may have to rethink the issue.

Thanks.

The line should have been drawn at the reprehensible character assassination of one of Dunwoody's founders and until recently a very wonderful councilman.

As long as people are on the subject here, here is my new hero:

"Jessica Ahlquist, 16, a student at Cranston High School West, a public school, has incensed this heavily Roman Catholic city with a successful lawsuit to get a prayer removed from the wall of her high school auditorium, where it has hung for 49 years."

This young lady, Jessica Ahlquist, is my hero as it takes true courage, especially these days, to defend the separation of church and state in order that ALL persons may worship or not worship as they believe, which is what our constitution guarantees.

If people desire a theocracy, then all they have to do is read what Afghanistan was like under the Taliban or Spain was like under Franco.

Contingent upon the results of the below study, our community cannot emphasize enough, the teaching of critical thinking and tolerance in our schools.

“Intelligence Study Links Low I.Q. To Prejudice, Racism, Conservatism” by Rebecca Searles

“Are racists dumb? Do conservatives tend to be less intelligent than liberals? A provocative new study from Brock University in Ontario suggests the answer to both questions may be a qualified - yes.”

“The study, published in Psychological Science, showed that people who score low on I.Q. tests in childhood are more likely to develop prejudiced beliefs and socially conservative politics in adulthood.”

“I.Q., or intelligence quotient, is a score determined by standardized tests, but whether the tests truly reveal intelligence remains a topic of hot debate among psychologists.”

“Dr. Gordon Hodson, a professor of psychology at the university and the study’s lead author, said the finding represented evidence of a vicious cycle:

"People of low intelligence gravitate toward socially conservative ideologies, which stress resistance to change and, in turn, prejudice, he told LiveScience.”

The article seems pretty obvious though, and with this being a Smart City populated by Smart People, you all probably already knew this.

My new department store retailer of choice - J.C. Penney - I am so proud of old J.C.! Unlike Lowe's, this is real corporate courage and integrity! Maybe if Krupp's had the same balls we wouldn't have had WW II.

"J.C. Penney is turning its back on 'One Million Moms', a group which called for the retailer to dump talk show host Ellen DeGeneres as its national spokeswoman because she is gay."

In an emailed statement to Yahoo! Shine on Friday, J.C. Penney confirmed it "stands behind its partnership with Ellen DeGeneres."

Ran a script today that displays IP addresses in order to detect clusters for search activity on my name and that of my family. Very interesting results.

Just realize that it is an obstruction to local, national, and global political insight to shun those in your community that express disagreement with your illusory little world. Whatever people, whatever...continue to mire yourselves with those that perpetuate your biased beliefs.

You besmirched the character of the one person in council who wasn't afraid to speak out, and you now have the local government you wanted, supported by a far right-wing press.

Enjoy yourselves, I shall be silent here on out; it's just not worth it. It is petty local politics after all.

GaryRayBetz said...

I'm elated the script worked for you Ms. Colleen. Like I indicated that's how I was able to document that the guy that was denigrating me was the same one that had been harassing his neighbors. But for me it ain't a big deal as I am so egotistical I'd rather be damned than ignored.

Regarding the other - wise decision. Best to leave this clique to themselves and allow Pieter Bruegel the Elder to depict them, as you will never impress imbeciles with your mind or wit.
