Executive Session - Purpose of Real Estate Discussion

Public Business Item - Approval of Purchase and Sale Agreement, Between the Dunwoody Public Facilities Authority and (Seller), for the Acquisition of Certain Land for Use as Parks and Recreation 

Consideration of Two Financing Options to Finance the Acquisition of Land Pursuant to the Purchase and Sale Agreement Presented for Approval in Agenda Item 1. The Two Financing Options for Consideration are the Following: (1) Issuance of a Revenue Bond by the Dunwoody Public Facilities Authority Secured by an Intergovernmental Contract with the City of Dunwoody, Georgia or (2) the Georgia Municipal Association, Inc. Bricks and Mortar Installment Sale Agreement Financing Program. 

Approval of Bond Resolution Authorizing (1) the Issuance of City of Dunwoody Public Facilities Authority Revenue Bond (City of Dunwoody Project), Series 2021 Within Certain Parameters as Described in Such Bond Resolution and (2) the Entering into of an Intergovernmental Lease Agreement with the City of Dunwoody to Provide the Security for Such Bond.  

BOND RESOLUTION RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF DUNWOODY

PUBLIC FACILITIES AUTHORITY PROVIDING FOR THE ISSUANCE OF ITS REVENUE BOND (CITY OF DUNWOODY PROJECT), SERIES 2021, IN THE PRINCIPAL AMOUNT OF NOT TO EXCEED $7,000,000, IN ORDER TO PROVIDE FUNDS TO (A) FINANCE THE COST OF ACQUIRING LAND FOR PARKS AND RECREATION FOR THE CITY OF DUNWOODY, AND (B) PAY THE COSTS OF ISSUING THE SERIES 2021 BOND ISSUED HEREUNDER; TO PROVIDE FOR THE CREATION OF CERTAIN FUNDS; TO PROVIDE FOR THE CREATION OF REMEDIES OF THE HOLDER OF THE BOND ISSUED HEREUNDER; TO AUTHORIZE THE EXECUTION OF A LEASE AGREEMENT WITH THE CITY OF DUNWOODY, GEORGIA; AND FOR OTHER RELATED PURPOSES.

Regular City Council Meeting starts at 6 p.m. or immediately following this meeting if past 6 p.m.

Dunwoody Nature Center to receive 40 year usage agreement from City - allowing long term fund raising.

 Facility Usage Agreement

Tomorrow the Dunwoody City Council will hold its normal bi-monthly City Council meeting starting at 6 PM where there it is a very light agenda honoring our police officers of the quarter.  We will also hold a special called meeting of the Dunwoody Public Facilities Authority starting at 5:30 where we will be voting upon a 40 year facility usage agreement with the Dunwoody Nature Center.  Once this agreement is in place it will allow a large scale capital campaign to move forward expanding the services being offered at that location.
