Peachtree Charter Middle School is looking for a new Principal
I understand from a neighbor that the Principal of Peachtree Charter Middle School, Mr. Steve Donahue will not be coming back as he has been promoted or moving on to another challenge. As a neighbor to the newly constructed school Mr. Donahue and I have had a number of interesting interactions. I can say that Steve is a consummate professional who was a pleasure to work with and I wish him the very best in his next assignment where ever that may be.

Does anyone know if Mr. Donahue's replacement been named? The job is no longer posted on the Dekalb County Schools web site.
Oh MAN, I really enjoyed Mr. Donahue but I am looking forward to what a new face might do for the school. Like actually enforce the dress requirement. 2. Have staff outside to monitor in the mornings as most parents drop their students off unsupervised around 8am. Just a couple of suggestions!
And the new prinicpal is:
The DeKalb County School System has named Scott Heptinstall as Peachtree Charter Middle School's new principal. He comes to us from a long-term role as Assistant Principal at Chamblee Charter High School, where he has had responsibility for Instruction, Testing, Attendance, Advanced Placement Classes, and the Gift & Talented Magnet Program. He has been a voting member of Chamblee's Charter Governance Council since 2006 and has served on its academic and technology councils. Mr. Heptinstall is well versed in the unique environment of a Charter School as well as the Dunwoody/Chamblee cluster of schools.
Mr. Heptinstall will join the Executive Council for a planning retreat on June 20. After, we will host a reception so PCMS families can meet him prior to the beginning of school.
