Renegotiated Dunwoody contracts puts unanticipated money into 2011 and 2012 budget projections.
After renegotiating contracts for city services, the City of Dunwoody is in a strong financial position therefore look for ongoing capital improvements, capital sinking funds for anticipated future expenses and improvements in public safety.
The 2012 Draft Budget Proposal has been released and I am also expecting a large 2011 budget amendment to come before Council in October in order to determine what to do with the unanticipated 2011 budget surplus.

Nellie,
Just curious - which specific part of the bond referendums do you like the best?
On November 8th, the citizens of Dunwoody will need to decide whether we want to be a city whose current voting populace will be the caring custodians of our children's future and that these same children, upon becoming adults, will find our town to be the same Canaan that we did, and journey back here to allow us to share in raising our grandchildren, by approving the necessary bonds to finance purchasing green space and developing and improving parks, or if we want to be overly parsimonious people with a short-sighted Tea Party type mentality and quash this most auspicious opportunity for our community.
Please vote to support our parks and our children's future in Dunwoody on November 8th!

Hmmm, let's see...perhaps it is the rider that prohibits vanity plates within the city limits of Dunwoody that spell out - "EMMY".
Oh my! It has just dawned on me what your poor deluded twisted pseudo-doctorate mind is thinking!
You actually think that GaryRayBetz and I don't exist and one of us or both of us are a person that authors a local blog "Dunwoody Now".
And it has also dawned on me that you are the person that has harassed your neighbors for years under a different pseudonym (i.e. DunwoodyD__) by defaming them in this and other blogs.
Sorry sicko, I write no blog, and ask around if you don't know GaryRayBetz or me. My husband wouldn't be crazy about me meeting up with you, but I'm sure GaryRayBetz would be very excited about meeting you for a beer. Very excited!
My gosh! What a freaking trip! This is so funny!
Hey DunwoodyPhD.
Enough is enough here, buddy.
Thus far you have slandered my name, GaryRayBetz, by indicating that I write a blog (i.e. Dunwoody Now) that I don't write (though I would be proud to write it if I could write that well).
Then you drag my father into it, indicating that my father drove a Jaguar. Well, my father is still alive, reads this blog, and the good man would not be very pleased to know that you have discounted his working class pride and that the man never stepped up in vehicle model class than an Oldsmobile.
Then you infer that I am gay and need to come out of the closet. Well, sorry, I am not gay, but one of the greatest men that ever walked this earth, my brother, was
openly gay. He died in 2002. And anyone who besmirches him or the choices he made in life doesn't sit well with me, not at all.
So, I expect you to be a man and cease any reference to me and my family on the Internet. If you feel you can't do this for any reason, that you do not think that you can leave my family and me alone, then please come to my home over on Brookhurst in the Dunwoody North neighborhood, and we can discuss your issues. You will then see that I, GaryRayBetz, truly exist. Oh, you will see that all right, good buddy.
Otherwise, I have your name and and all the IP addresses that you have ever utilized, and I will simply provide this data to my lawyer.
Thank-you.
You really should have asked about me and especially about how and why I refused to join WP in Chicago back in 1985. But, it is what it is...
